Full cards on the table, I never expected that the novella would even get close to 50,000 words, yet this is happening and for the novel to get past 50,000 words in NaNoWriMo. TFT/TSFT has been giving me difficulty for a while and WA has been my passion project that I work on if I can’t focus on it.
It is wild getting into a character’s headspace and just writing instead of thinking about what each person would say, trying to make each voice vary in tone slightly. That’s future me’s problem, present me is trying to get words onto paper. In this case, the Word document which I need to back up in case all my work gets deleted.
Nothing is more demoralizing when you wrote 79k and you were on the third to last chapter before the file corrupts. I might have to rewrite Mutant School if I could recall the whole premise because there were like five separate POVs. This is going to happen after I finish one of my current projects for November and after writing a winter themed piece that’ll be in this year’s winter collection in AO3. I’ll post more about it once December hits because I only have a little more than three hundred words on that story.
